Communication -,
While most of the civilians who are drawn to
the site are apprehended by the Army, Roy and Gillian persist and make it to the
site just as dozens of UFOs appear in the night sky. The government specialists
at the site begin to communicate with the UFOs by use of light and sound.
Following this, an enormous mother ship lands at the site, returning people who
had been abducted over the years, including Barry. As the communication between
the humans and UFOs continue using light and
sound signals, the government officials determine to include Roy in a group of
people whom they have selected to be potential visitors to the mothership, and
hastily prepare him. As the aliens finally emerge from the mothership, they
select Roy to join them on their travels. As Roy enters the mothership, one of
the aliens lingers for a few moments with the humans. Lacombe uses Kodaly Method
hand signs that correspond to the five-note alien tonal phrase. The alien
replies with the same gestures, smiles, and returns to its ship, which lifts off
into the night
sky.

Body
Language -
Body language is an important part of communication which
can constitute 50% or more of what we are communicating. If you wish to
communicate well, then it makes sense to understand how you can (and cannot) use
your body to say what you
mean.
Email Correspondence -
Email is a
powerful tool in the hands of a knowledgeable job-seeker. Use it wisely and you
will shine. Use it improperly, however, and you’ll brand yourself as immature
and unprofessional. Dr. Sherry Reasbeck, a San Diego-based career counselor,
warns that some email mistakes leave a bad impression. “It’s irritating when the
writer doesn’t stay on topic or just rambles,” says Reasbeck. “Try to succinctly
get your point across?then end the email.”
Working Overseas -
A lot of young people who come back from a working holiday overseas
describe it as a life changing experience. It's easy to see why.
Working
overseas can be a great way to travel, meet people, experience new things and
get paid for it. The experience of self-reliance you gain will be useful for
many years to
come.

Pronunciation - Until very recently few teachers or learners really questioned the
idea that in order to be understood when speaking English, students would need
to get as close as possible in their pronunciation to one of the dominant
native-speaker accents, such as Received Pronunciation (RP), the standard
British accent, or GA (General American), the USA equivalent. Nor did anybody
really bring under scrutiny the idea that the measure for successful
pronunciation should be the speaker’s degree of intelligibility as determined by
a native-speaker. The last decade, however, has brought about such a significant
change in the role of English throughout the world that it is essential to
re-examine this situation.
.
Japanese -
Japanese vocabulary has been heavily
influenced by loanwords from other languages. A vast number of words were
borrowed from Chinese, or created from Chinese models, over a period of at least
1,500 years. Since the late 19th century, Japanese has borrowed a considerable
number of words from Indo-European languages, primarily English. Because of the
special trade relationship between Japan and first Portugal in the 16th century,
and then mainly the Netherlands in the 17th century, Portuguese and Dutch have
also been influential.
Internet -
The Internet carries a vast array of
information resources and services, most notably the inter-linked hypertext
documents of the World Wide Web (WWW) and the infrastructure to support
electronic mail, in addition to popular services such as online chat, file
transfer and file sharing, online gaming, and Voice over Internet Protocol
(VoIP) person-to-person communication via voice and video.

Rock Music -
They
scream your name at night in the street
Your graduation gown lies in rags at
their feet
And in the lonely cool before dawn
You hear their engines
roaring on
But when you get to the porch they're gone
On the wind, so Mary
climb in
It's a town full of losers
And I'm pulling out of here to
win
